Welcome...
… and thank you for visiting my website!
Here you’ll find regular updates and news about my work, exhibitions and other events.
As a versatile mixed-media artist, I believe art should tell a meaningful story to the beholder. So, as you browse through this site you will see that my narrative style of work is based on memories of places and experiences, yet illustrated in a way that can be interpreted individually by the viewer. You can read more about me and my style of work here.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any feedback, or just to say hello, I would love to hear from you.

I’m delighted to be exhibiting with Peak Vision Arts as part of High Peak Open Studios.
You’ll find us at 89, Market Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith, where our group will be showcasing a varied collection of 2D & 3D Art, Jewellery, Prints, Greeting Cards, AND we will have a Café!
Our six members are Em Hoten, Oil painter; Julia Brownsword, 2D/3D Mixed Media Design; Jan Hoyle, Textiles; Yuka Jourdain, Jewellery; Louise Neilson, Ceramics; Ingrid Katarina Karlsson, Mixed Media.
This year, more than 100 artists across 37 venues will be opening their doors throughout the High Peak — a wonderful opportunity to explore the area’s vibrant creative community, meet artists in person, and discover original work.
Plan your route and explore all participating venues here:
I’d love to welcome you if you’re able to visit.
Please note there are Open Studios all over Derbyshire this Whitsun Weekend. Apart from the High Peak, you will find 12 venues through Peak District Artisans Spring Art Trail.
